I had a difficult time loading these videos, so had to make them smaller. As a result, the quality isn't quite as good, but at least you can see the students giving their very first speech!

Public Speaking
Our first attempts at public speaking in Kindergarten!
The students all did a great job today - it is a scary thing sometimes to get up in front of a group and talk but they all took a turn! After the first time through, some of them tried again without their papers, and they did even better!
Six students will be saying their speeches again on the stage Friday afternoon. Good luck!

Spring is here!
Kindergarten Homework:
*Read a book each night and practice tricky words (little, down, on).
*Read words in the little bags that will come home this week, and return the next day.
*Finish homework duotang by Friday.
*Return library book by Monday.
Elementary Drama:
*Read over your lines and memorize them.
*Practice is on Wednesday from 3-4pm.
*We will perform our play "Cinderella" on April 15th at 6:30pm, April 16th at 9am for K-5, and at the Drama Festival on April 17th at 1:15pm. A letter with details will come home this week.
Upcoming Events:
*Wonder World on March 19 6-8pm
*Hear Speeches in class March 20-21
*Assembly to showcase speeches March 22 1:10pm
*Report cards go home March 25
*Parent Teacher Interviews March 27 from 6-8pm and March 28 from 9-11am
*No School for Students on March 28 (Interviews and Professional Development)
*Good Friday on March 29 (no school)
*Easter Monday on April 1 (no school)
*TNB (Theater New Brunswick) performance of "The Velveteen Rabbit"on April 2 at 9:30am
