Concert Practice

We had a very wiggly concert practice on Friday. Should be interesting to see the changes on Tuesday!

We will have a dress rehearsal at 9:50am on Tuesday, and then the concert at 6:30pm (students should be there by 6pm). Please dress up for the dress rehearsal too if possible!

Kindergarten will be on the stage first, and then we will go back to our classroom until intermission, at which time you can come pick up your students to either watch the rest of the concert, or head home to bed.

 

 

 

Pink Week!

What a wonderful Pink Week we have had, toping it off with a concert by Tenille and lighting our candles! We even got autographs!

 Candy Cane Grams will be on sale for $1 starting December 8th at noon.  Send a friend, teacher, or staff member a Christmas treat and wish.

A New Class Pet!

We have a new class pet - Stick Bugs!

They eat Romaine Lettuce, so if anyone wants to send in a leaf or two once and awhile that would be great!

*No School for students on November 21st. Teachers have PD in the morning, and Parent-Teacher Interviews from 1-3pm.

Writing Celebration!

On Friday we will be having a Writing Celebration around 1:20pm. We have finished our first unit/book in a writing series, and all of the children are picking out their "best" piece of writing to color and fancy up. Tomorrow we will all read our writing piece, and "celebrate" our good writing by having a little snack and a drink so we can "toast" our writing. Of course our writing pieces are still very short, but we want to celebrate our progress and learning so far. Parents are welcome to drop in if you would like.

We have learned so much in just a month and a half! The students are becoming very independent at Read to Self and Work on Writing, so today we added Read to Someone!

Special Visitor

We had three special visitors come to our class today from Student Council, including the school mascot Lars the Shark!

School Pictures are on Monday!

School pictures are on Monday, so you definitely don't have to wear "pink" for the day, although you certainly can if you would like! :)

Our pictures should be done fairly early in the morning, so feel free to send play clothes if you would like your child to change after the pictures. I assume we will have a group picture done as well as individual pictures, so please be here if at all possible.

Can't wait to see all the cute smiles!
